From Foal to 1.45m: A Show Jumping Partnership Built Over 14 Years

Julia Tops and India Blue ZF by DigiShots CSI Eindhoven EIND19L05477July 9, 2020 - Hours after India Blue ZF was born in the middle of the night, a then eight-year-old Julia Tops was there to greet her alongside her mom, Tani Zeidler.

The filly, who was soon given the nickname "Apple," was the first foal born as part of Zeidler Farm's newly launched breeding program, and Tops wanted to meet her before heading off to elementary school that morning in Calgary, Canada.

Today, Tops is still spending as much time as possible with Apple before and after school.

Tani Zeidler: Inspired by the Love of Horses

tani zeidler with maya and illusion by victoria mcfadyen webApril 1, 2020 - Tani Zeidler was 14 years old when she first discovered a farmer's Quarter Horses living behind the lake cabin where her family spent its summers. Soon after, she began to frequently visit her four-legged neighbours. Before long, spending time with the horses had progressed to riding, and, by the end of that summer, she was jumping over hay bales in the farmer's field.

Those horses sparked an ongoing, lifelong love affair with animals, a love that has led Zeidler from representing the Canadian Show Jumping Team to launching her own highly successful breeding and training operation, Zeidler Farm, in Calgary, Alberta.

Sophie Simpson Sweeps the $5,000 CWD 1.35m Welcome Classic on Opening Day of Temecula Valley National Horse Show

April 16, 2019 - "Tuesday saw the first day of competition in the Audi Grand Prix Arena at Galway Downs, kicking off the Temecula Valley National Horse Show (TVNHS) WCHR Premier Week. The highlight jumper class of the day was the $5,000 CWD 1.35m Welcome Classic featuring 40 competitive horse-and-rider combinations that were vying to establish a name for themselves early in the competition week. In the end, it was Sophie Simpson that sped to the win with Zeidler Farm’s Lady Margaret ZF in a time of 34.52 seconds."
